Japanese Art of Flower Arrangement, IKEBANA
is Displayed and Demonstrated
at Bahrain International Garden Show 2010
The Embassy of Japan and the Bahrain-Japan Friendship Society will participate in the Bahrain International Garden Show 2010 by displaying artistic Ikebana flower arrangements and presenting demonstrations of Ikebana.
Ikebana is one of the well-known Japanese traditional arts all over the world. The materials of Ikebana are not limited flowers but vines, leaves, grasses, berries, fruits, as well as wilted and dried plants. The history of Ikebana dates back to more than 500 years ago and Ikebana has developed reflecting the diversity of Japan’s natural landscape and ancient, agricultural way of life.
