Koh-do (Japanese Art of Appreciating Incense)
Demonstration at the Isa Cultural Center
Under the patronage of H.H. Shaikh Abdullah bin Khalid Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Isa Cultural Center, the Embassy of Japan and the Bahrain-Japan Friendship Society will hold at cultural event featuring Koh-do (Japanese Art of Appreciating Incense) and Bahraini tradition of incense in cooperation with Syed Junaid Alam W.L.L.
Koh-do is one of the three classical Japanese arts of refinement, along with tea ceremony and flower arrangement.
The demonstration will be presented by Mr. Sohitsu Hachiya, 21st generation designate of the grand master of Shino School of Koh-do and Special Advisor for Cultural Exchange appointed by Japanese Government, and Mr. Hamad Fuad Akhtar, from Syed Junaid Alam W.L.L. will give a presentation the Bahraini oud.
The event will take place at the Isa Cultural Center (Behind the Al-Fateh Grand Mosque) on Thursday 4th March at 8:00p.m.
