Conference of “Latest Advancements in Refining and Petrochemical Industries”

On the 17th of April 2016, conference of "Latest Advancements in Refining and Petrochemical Industries” was held in Bahrain by Japan Cooperation Center Petroleum (JCCP), the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC) and Bahrain's National Oil & Gas Authority (NOGA).
H.E. Mr. Kiyoshi Asako, Ambassador of Japan to the Kingdom of Bahrain, H.E. Dr. Ahmed Ali Al Sharyan, Secretary General of NOGA, H.E. Mr. Abbas Al-Naqi, Secretary General of OAPEC and Mr. Eiji Hiraoka, Senior Executive Director of JCCP attended the opening ceremony.
At the opening ceremony, the Ambassador mentioned that oil-producing countries have been facing so difficulties in various areas recently due to the low crude oil prices, that enhancement of productivity and energy efficiency management is important. In addition, he stressed that Japanese companies’ cutting-edge technologies, sufficient experience and knowledge will contribute to overcoming the current tough economic situations.
Finally, he affirmed that the regional stability of energy market, economy and security in the Middle East area is also important for Japan because Japan is highly depending on natural resources in this area, then through this conference, Japan is seeking to avail the opportunity to contribute to the regional economic and industrial development.
