JMSDF “DD-116 TERUZUKI” visits to Bahrain

Japan Maritime Self Defence Force (JMSDF)’s ship “DD-116 TERUZUKI” called to Mina-Salman port in a visit to Bahrain from 8th to 11th of April, 2017, as part of international cooperation in anti-piracy activities.
 
During its visit, the ship held a tour for officials from Bahrain Defence Force and Combined Maritime Force, and bilateral meetings were held to exchange opinions about the Gulf security. Japanese residents in Bahrain were also invited for a ship tour.
 
On April 9th evening, the ship and the Embassy of Japan in the Kingdom of Bahrain co-hosted an onboard reception. Bahraini governmental officials, officers from Bahrain Defence Force, and guests from other countires, including CMF members, diplomats and resperentatives of Japanese companies attended the reception. During the reception, the JMSDF and the Embassy introduced the guests with the Japanese culture, and Japan’s contributions in the international anti-piracy activities.
