Diplomatic Corps Charity Bazaar sponsored by Children & Mothers Welfare Association of Bahrain and Donation of proceeds to the Association

1  On Thursday, March 3, the Children & Mothers Welfare Association co-sponsored by the Embassies of various countries in Bahrain organized a Charity Bazaar at the headquarters of the Association.
 This was the first bazaar held in two years due to the Corona pandemic.
 Mrs. Miyamoto, wife of the Japanese Ambassador, wives of the diplomats and female staff members of the Embassy opened the Japanese Embassy’s booth where Japanese tableware, accessories items as well as Japanese food made by the Ambassador’s chef were displayed as charity goods.
 The Japanese Embassy’s booth welcomed Bahraini citizens, foreign residents and Japanese nationals in Bahrain and got favorable views.

2  On Wednesday, March 9, Mrs. Miyamoto, wife of the Japanese Ambassador, and wives of the diplomats met H.E. Shaikha Hind bint Salaman Al Khalifa, President of the Children & Mothers Welfare Association and handed over the proceeds of the above mentioned bazaar as a donation to the Association.

Children & Mothers Welfare Society
It is a Bahrain-based NGO founded in 1953 that has engaged in activities aimed at promoting health and welfare of mothers and children and empowerment of women in society. Shaikha Hind bint Salman Al Khalifa is the president of the Society. The Charity Bazaar is organized by the Association and each Embassy in Bahrain sets up a booth to sell local products and handicrafts of each country and donates the sales revenue to the Association.
