Japanese delegation participated in the 146th IPU Assembly

 From March 11th to 15th, six Japanese parliamentarians, headed by Mr. ITO Shintaro, a member of the House of Representatives, visited the Kingdom of Bahrain to attend the 146th Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Conference hosted by the Kingdom.

 During the Assembly held under the main theme of "Promoting Peaceful Coexistence and Inclusive Societies: Combating Intolerance", the six members of the delegation delivered speeches at various sessions and held numerous meetings with other parliamentary delegations.
 The delegation also paid courtesy calls on H.E. Mr. Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, H.E. Lt. Gen. Abdulla bin Hassan Al Noaimi, Minister of Defence Affairs, and H.E. Dr. Mohamed bin Mubarak bin Daina, Minister of Oil and Environmet. Additionally, they had a meeting with Japanese business people working actively in the Kingdom of Bahrain and visited “Al Dur 2”, the most advanced desalination and power plant in which the Japanese company MITSUI & Co. is one of the main investors.
