The Japanese Ambassador Award Ceremony for IKEBANA Competition 2024

2024/5/9
Ambassador Okai presented a trophy to Ms. Nadia
Award-winning work
On May 9th, 2024, Ambassador Okai was pleased to attend the Annual Flower and Vegetable Show – 2024 awards ceremony, hosted by the Bahrain Garden Club, and under the royal patronage represented by Shaikha Maram bint Isa Al Khalifa, Secretary-General of the National Initiative for Agricultural Development (NIAD).

We were thrilled to pass on the esteemed Japanese Ambassador's Award for Class 62(b) Ikebana Free Style to the deserving winner Ms. Nadia Al Zeera.

Ikebana, literally meaning “the art of bringing flowers to life,” has been a part of Japanese culture for over 600 years. It's more than just flower arrangement; it's a philosophy of harmony, balance, and simplicity. Each element of an Ikebana creation is purposeful and meaningful. With the Japanese Ambassador’s Award, we aim to foster a cultural connection between Bahrain and Japan, sharing the beauty of Ikebana as a symbol of our shared appreciation for art and nature.
Keep an eye out for more Ikebana developments in Bahrain!
