Japanese High-Ranking MOFA Official visits Bahrain

Manama, Bahrain – From 20 to 21 April 2025, Mr. Toshihide ANDO, Assistant Minister and Director-General of the Middle Eastern and African Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, visited the Kingdom of Bahrain to engage in key bilateral meetings and co-chair the 7th Japan-Bahrain Policy Consultations.
On 20 April, Mr. Ando held meetings with H.E. Dr. Abdullatif al Zayani, Minister for Foreign Affairs and H.E. Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Minister for Transportation and Telecommunications. Discussions covered means to expand collaboration across various sectors for the mutual benefit of both countries and peoples, in addition to the latest regional developments and issues of shared interest. They affirmed their continued commitment to strengthening cooperation and promoting partnership between the two countries.

Shaikh Abdullah bin Ali al Khalifa, Director-General of Bilateral Relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Both sides discussed means to expand cooperation in various fields including trade, investment, maritime security and space, expressing their shared ambition to further advance bilateral relations.
