May 21, 2008 Yamato Kogyo signed a contract for steel plants in Bahrain with GIIC
Yamato Kogyo Co., Ltd, which is a prominent Japanese steelmaker, has announced that it signed for the construction of steel plants in Hidd industrial area, Kingdom of Bahrain, under the joint venture with Gulf Industrial Investment Co. (GIIC). The details of the announcement are attached herewith (translation from their press release). Japanese Ambassador H.E. Mr. Kondo welcomed this announcement, saying he is very pleased as negotiation was successful. He is convinced this project will make a large success. The decision made by Yamato Kogyo proves that Bahrain is the most business-friendly in the region and that the International Community strongly believes that Bahrain’s wise leadership will guide this country for a very brightful future. This project is expected to make a huge export revenue and provide around one thousand job opportunities to this country.
